Grief. The bloody bore of it.

Alright, the grieving process is not boring. It is anything but actually. However, the weight of grief piggybacking on your every moment of every day is a bloody blore.
It is exhausting.
It is not a natural state of being (thank the heavens and all the far-seeing stars above. Seriously. Couldn't make it through this loss without the sky as my go-to bestie up above.)
Grief is heavy. Time doesn't make it lighter, it just repositions it so you can keep on walking.
And grief is born old. Ancient. The moment it shows up, it feels like it's been by your side for all damned time.
We all lose loved ones. Nobody is alone in that. But does having company really help? Or am I simply doing it wrong?
No matter. It's here to stay... but does it really need to be up in my freaking face all the time?
Apparently, the answer to that is yes.
But maybe for just this one moment more?
Maybe my very next second will be better? Be brighter? Maybe I will see around my grief and catch a glimpse of after? An after where the bloody bore of it is gone. With just an added weight left, a weight that proves I loved.
